Welcome to Service My Car – A unique online hub for car owners in Australia.

Service My Car was built out of the demand from motorists for transparent service costing information, ease of finding their local mechanic to get car repair and logbook servicing done and a platform for mechanics that is not going to charge them a commission for their work.

We understand that time is precious...

So we have made it super convenient for you to find and contact your local mechanic. Our dedicated mechanics directory has an extensive network of the best workshops and mobile mechanics across Australia.

Don’t like being on hold or waiting for a call back? You can now send an instant online message directly from our website. You can even send a free quote request to multiple mechanics in your area. It’s easy and quick to connect directly to your local mechanic.

No middle man...

Did you know some websites charge hidden commission and booking fees? Service My Car does not charge mechanics on our directory ANY commission and there are no booking fees. This is great news for both mechanics and car owners.

Free cost guide? I’m listening...

Our Service Cost Guides have been gaining lots of attention and we are so happy to be the one bringing it you. Many car owners do not realise that service costs can vary a lot between different cars and between different service intervals. By using the FREE service cost calculator, you can instantly find out the average prices charged by mechanics across Australia. We are helping to inform the public that a car service is more than “just an oil change”. Other FREE resources include free quote requests, Tyre Sizes Guide, News & Recalls – and more to be added!

Service My Car does NOT set any of the prices in the Service Cost Guide. As an impartial information provider and mechanics directory, we do not have any influence on what the market prices are. Mechanics tell us what they charge and we simply give you the average price range for personal research. Prices are also live and change as industry prices change.

If you like the free Service Cost Guide and want full access to all the service intervals for your car, use the Cost Guide Calculator.

Your Car, Your Choice!

Service My Car promotes the Choice of Repairer campaign. Many people are taking their cars straight to a dealership, unaware that taking it to an independent workshop will not void their warranty. The Service Cost Guides are a great way to highlight average prices from independent workshops across Australia so you can make the most informed decision.

The same data used by mechanics...

Service My Car is powered by The AutoLibrary – an Australian technical database used by over 5,000 workshops nationwide. The AutoLibrary is produced by Boyce’s Automotive Data, a proudly 100% owned and run Australian company. The vehicle database is a chronological history of the Australian carpark dating back to 1965. For the first time – car owners are accessing the same data used by mechanics in their workshops.

Who we are...

Boyce’s Automotive Data is a highly respected name in the Australian Automotive industry. The founder, Mr David Boyce was a publisher, engineer and a racing enthusiast who would meet Mr Frank Burgess the past president of the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers (10,000 automotive repairer members at its peak). This association would lead to the first publication in1970 of the Boyce 4-1 technical manual. The popular seller inspired many more books, CDs, DVDs and now a comprehensive online portal.

The AutoLibrary services over 5,000 workshops nationwide making it the largest and ONLY Australian owned company which research vehicle data here in Australia for vehicles built to Australian Design Rules (ADR).
